MEMBERSHIP
Once you have signed up as a member you need to log in to the site. Enter your Screen name and the password emailed to you.
Search or simply browse. If you want to send a message to another member, just click the message link on that person’s profile and type in your message.

MESSAGES
(Please read safety advice)
Your messages will be sent by a blind email. Your mailbox is not accessible to other members. Responses to your messages will go into your mailbox, by blind email. A record of the messages you have sent will be retained in your own messages file. Your responses will be sent by a blind email in the same way.

MY PROFILE
It is possible to edit your profile at any time click my profile. Change whatever information you want and save the changes by using the button at the bottom of the page.

PHOTOGRAPHS
Research has shown you are more likely to get a response if you put up a photograph. Please use portrait style photos with a close up of YOU. Do not include other people or children. To change or update your photo follow the instructions. If you do not have a photo on your computer, send a hard copy to 4xtrahands Ltd, PO Box 423 Bury St Edmunds IP33 2XB with your screen name and it will be put on for you.

MY FRIENDS
This will show you a list of the people you have contacted or are interested in. It is possible to click on the name of a friend and send a message. To add friends click on the Add to my friend’s button on their profile.

MY ACCOUNT
Any time you log in, you can access my account and see when your membership expires and the cost of your next payment. If you wish to unsubscribe, your membership will stay current until expiry date.

SEARCH RESULTS
A typical search results will include background information status, age occupation or type of farm physical description and a short note about the person Where possible a recent photograph.

SAFETY ADVICE
For safety reasons Profiles containing contact details or identifying information will be removed from the site. Do not tell people your surnames, phone numbers, addresses, or anything else which you do not want people to know about, until you are sure you know them well enough to trust them.

PERSONAL CONTACT INFORMATION.
You should avoid members who continuously demand information you do not wish to give. Please report the member immediately to admin@partners4farmers.com who will take the appropriate action.

CONTROL THE SPEED OF AN ONLINE RELATIONSHIP.
How quickly you want to build a relationship is up to you. Our advice is, if in doubt, take things slowly. Agree to exchange phone numbers and meet only when you are happy. If in doubt, wait.
We suggest you do not give your home number. Giving your mobile number is safer.

MEET IN PUBLIC PLACES.
When you feel the time is right to meet do so in a public place and take basic precautions. Tell someone where you are going, who you are meeting and when to expect a call from you to say you are safely home.
